What is the mechanism by which the AIDS virus degrades the immune system of a saint?

Answer

After entering the body of an infected person, the AIDS virus enters the macrophage.

Here, its RNA genome, with the help of the reverse transcriptase enzyme, creates viral DNA by replication that enters the cell into DNA, directing the viral particle formation in infected cells.

  • The macrophages continue to produce virus and function as a factory producing HIV.

  • The HIV helper enters the T-lymphoid and replicates and produces a virus.

  • The progeny virus present in the blood attacks other helper T-lymphocytes.

  • This process is repeated repeatedly as a result of which the number of T-lymphocytes in the body of the infected person keeps decreasing.

  • The patient continues to suffer from fever and diarrhea, weight loss occurs, the immunity of the patient is so low that he is unable to fight these types of infections.
