Geography is made up of TWO words i.e.
Geography = Geo + Graphy
Where, "Geo" means " The Earth "
and "Graphy" means " The Study of Earth ".
Study of each section under Geography is based on Origin and Sequential Reason of it, hence it is called "THE EARTH SCIENCE ".
Presently Geography is recognized as a welfaristic subject, hence its current definition is given as "The Place As a Home of Mankind ".
The subject of Geography is studied in two important sections they are -
1. PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY
2. HUMAN GEOGRAPHY
PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY
Natural Parts are studied under Physical Geography. For example-

2. Hydrosphere
3. Atmosphere
4. Biosphere
The study of Lithosphere is called Geo morphology.
The study of Hydrosphere is called Oceanography.
The study of Atmosphere is called Climatology.
The study of Biosphere is called Bio Environmental Geography.
HUMAN GEOGRAPHY
Human Activities are studied under Human Geography. There are Four main parts -
1. Agricultural Geography
2. Resource Geography
3. Industrial Geography
4. Transport Geography
These 4 parts are also called Economic Geography.
DISASTER AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT
1. Economic Geography
2. Socio Cultural Geography
3. Political Geography
4. Disaster and Disaster Management
are Studied under HUMAN GEOGRAPHY.
