Former Andhra Pradesh minister P Manikyala Rao passed away
Former Andhra Pradesh minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao died due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
He was a senior BJP party leader born in Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in 2014-19 and in 2017-18 he also became the endowment minister in Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet.
Rajasthan government started Indira Rasoi scheme
The Rajasthan State Government has started a unique initiative to provide food for just ₹ 8 under the Indira Gandhi Rasoi Yojana in urban and rural areas from August 20.
The Government of Rajasthan has operated 213 urban areas and 358 cooks under Indira Rasoi Yojana, in which an amount of Rs 100 crore will be spent every year.
Rajasthan State Government launched this unique scheme with the aim of "No Hunger No Sleep" resolution.
Mohammad Irfan Ali becomes the new President of Guyana
Mohammad Irfan Ali became the new President of the country Guyana .
The leader of the opposition People's Progressive Party, Mohammad Irfan Ali, was appointed in place of current President David Arthur Grazer.
The People's Progressive Party won 33 of the 65 seats in the National Assembly.
Mohammed Irfan Ali has also previously been the former Guyanese Housing Minister.
Author Vijay Kumar launches book Membership in politics
The current Chief Minister of Bihar state, Nitish Kumar, released the book "Membership in politics" written by author Vijay Kumar.
This book has been published by the Bihar Legislative Assembly Secretariat. In this book a compilation of the views of the author, political issues, articles and his life journey can be seen.
The book also covers important assembly activities such as the successful completion of others in the area in the Sixth Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
United Arab Emirates will host IPL-2020 tournament
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the IPL-2020 tournament to be held in the United Arab Emirates.
The tournament will run from 19 September to 18 November 2020.
The tournament was earlier scheduled to start on 29 March but was postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
The decision to start the IPL match from September 19 was taken after the August 2 meeting of the IPL Governing Council.
All the teams playing in the IPL T20 League will leave for the UAE by 26 August 2020.
IIT Madras has developed a device called OXY2
Indian Institute of Technology Madras has developed a new device called OXY2 in association with a health startup called HELYXON.
With the help of which heart rate, temperature, oxygen, respiratory rate can be accurately measured.
With the help of this tool, about 2000 patients can be monitored and tested in 1 day.
The company has given this device between Rs 2500 to Rs 10000 lakh.
Using this device like a clip on the finger of the patient, data can also be sent to mobile phones with the help of radio waves.
Andhra Pradesh government launched online cyber security e-Raksha Bandhan program
Government of Andhra Pradesh launched e-Rakshabandhan initiative under the innovative online cyber awareness program.
The initiative aims to spread awareness about cyber crimes among people in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
This online awareness program will be run by organizations such as the Crime Investigation Department and FM Radio for about 1 month.
The objective of this campaign is to ensure the safety of women and children in cyberspace and to educate about 1 lakh women girls and the general public under the e-Raksha Bandhan program.
Britain announces the issuance of coins
Britain announced the release of Mahatma Gandhi's Prosperity Coin to mark the contribution of the people of the BEME community.
UK Finance Minister Rishi Sunak issued a letter to the Royal Mint Advisory Committee (RMAC) to further the recognition of the people of the BAME community and has directed to issue commemorative coins of Mahatma Gandhi.
The full form of RMAC is Royal Mint Advisory Committee.
The RMAC is a fully independent committee composed of a select group of experts from across the country.
