Vini Mahajan became the first woman Chief Secretary of the state of Punjab


Vini Mahajan, a 1987 batch IAS officer, took over as the first woman Chief Secretary of Punjab. Vini Mahajan has been appointed in place of "Karan Avatar Singh". With this, Vini Mahajan has secured first place in the administrative history of Punjab as her husband Dinkar Gupta is the director of police of the state.Punjab has become the only state in India where both civil and police administration is a couple. Sanjay Kumar becomes new Chief Secretary of Maharashtra State


The Government of Maharashtra appointed Sanjay Kumar as the new Chief Secretary of the state of Maharashtra. Sanjay Kumar, replacing "Kumar Mehta", became the new Chief Secretary of the state of Maharashtra.Sanjeev Kumar is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary of Housing Department of Maharashtra State and Additional In-charge of Home Department. NASA's Washington DC-based headquarters have been named after 'Mary W. Jackson'. Jackson was a mathematician and aerospace engineer who started her career at a computing unit in Virginia. He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in the year 2019. She was the first woman to join NASA as an engineer.


Nimai Bhattacharya Bengali writer and journalist, dies at the age of 89


Bengali writer and journalist Nimai Bhattacharya died at the age of 89. Bhattacharya was born in Maguru district (present-day Bangladesh). He wrote more than 150 books like 'Memsaheb', 'Diplomate', 'Minibus', 'Inquilab', 'Eamon Kalyan'. Memsaheb's story was also used in the film starring Uttam Kumar and the film was a huge success. Bhattacharya also did journalism before handing over his life entirely to writing.


State of Chhattisgarh started Adarsh ​​Police Station Scheme


From July 1, the Chhattisgarh state government formally announced the launch of the Adarsh ​​Police Station scheme. Noida renamed Sector-50 Metro Station as Rainbow Metro Station


Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has renamed Noida Sector 50 Metro Station as "Rainbow Metro Station". Ritu Maheshwari, managing director of NMRC, has renamed the Noida Sector-50 to Rainbow Metro Station with the objective of providing employment opportunities as well as special facilities to the people of the transgender community.

At this station, people of the transgender community will now be appointed as security personnel and employees, which will provide them employment opportunities.


Karnataka Rajya installed 108-feet tall statue of Kempegowda, founder of Bengaluru


Karnataka State Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa laid the foundation stone of 108 feet tall bronze statue of Bengaluru founder Kempegowda near the Capital's International airport.

It took a year and a half to build this statue and it cost an amount of 78 crores. BS Yediyurappa also laid the foundation stone of a 23-acre theme park on the occasion of the 511th birth anniversary of Kempegowda. Kempegowda established the city on a scientific line, creating civic amenities in accordance with the demands of the people of his state.



"Surakshit Dada-Dadi & Nana-Nani Abhiyan"launched by NITI Aayog for senior citizens


NITI Aayog launched "Surakshit Dada-Dadi & Nana-Nani Abhiyan" in collaboration with Piramal Foundation for the betterment of senior citizens amidst the Covid-19 epidemic.

Under this campaign, it has been started with the aim of providing essential items like medicines, ration to 2.9 million senior citizens. Surendranagar district by NITI Aayog is one of the 25 aspirational districts in the country where the scheme was successfully implemented.


Japan topped the list of top-500 supercomputers


Japan topped the country's "Fugaku" supercomputer in the list of the world's top-500 supercomputers. Fugaku is powered by Fujitsu's 48-core A64FX SoC. Fugaku's peak performance exceeds 1,000 petaflops (1 exaflops). The new system is installed at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) in Kobe, Japan. While in second place was the "Summit" supercomputer of IBM company.IBM-built supercomputer that distributes 148.8 petaflops over HPL. The system has 4,356 nodes, each equipped with two 22-core Power 9 CPUs and six NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs.
