  • Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Smriti Irani launched the book "The Swachh Bharat Kranti" written by the Chief Secretary of Drinking Water Sanitation Department, Mr. Parameswaran Iyer.

  • The book Swachh Bharat Kranti was launched in New Delhi by Smriti Irani, Union Minister of Textiles and Women and Child Development.

  • This book reflects the remarkable journey of 35 essays by various categories of stakeholders and contributors.


An automated voice assistant 'AXAA' launched by Axis Bank

  • Launched Automatic Voice Assistant "AXAA" at Axis Bank.

  • The AXAA Automatic Voice Assistant is an Artificial Intelligence Powered Conversational Voiceboat that will function as a fully humanoid.

  • Where Bot can respond to the queries and requests of 1 lakh customers every day through Hindi and English language.


Pradeep Singh tops Civil Services Examination 2019

  • Pradeep Singh of Sonipat district of Haryana topped the results of the Civil Services Examination for the year 2019 announced by the Union Public Service Commission on 4 August.

  • In the same Civil Services Examination 2019, Jatin Kishore was second and Pratibha Verma in third place.

  • A total of 832 candidates have been identified in the year 2019 for IAS IFS and IPS in Civil Services.

  • Last year, Pradeep Singh gave his fourth attempt in civil services, whose age is 29 years. And they have brought their parents and the name of the state to light by bringing the AIR-1 rack.


Co-inventor of computer mouse William English died

  • William Kirk English, the world's first computer mouse inventor and American computer engineer, died.

  • The world's first mouse was made by Bill English in the 1960s with a pin woodblock and a connector.

  • In 1968, William Kirk English developed the city of the mouse and met all the criteria and the mouse was then voted the best of all demos.

  • Writer Nirupama Yadav wrote the book "Vishesh: Code to Win", based on the life of Bhrigavanshi, India's youngest basketball team captain.

  • This book has been published by House Bluerose Publication.

  • This book depicts the obstacles faced by Bhriguvanshi and her journey.

  • Bhriguvanshi first played in the Indian basketball team in 2007, who was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2010, he became the captain of India's team for the first time.

  • Former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh State Ram Pradhan passed away.

  • Ram Pradhan played an important role in the Assam Accord and the Mizoram Peace Accord.

  • In 1987, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor, a 2-member committee of the Security Force for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in December 2008 was also led by Ram Pradhan.


Shashidhar Jagadishan appointed as the new CEO of HDFC Bank

  • RBI appointed Sasidhar Jagadishan as the new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of HDFC Bank.

  • Jagdishan will replace Aditya Puri, currently the Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Bank.

  • Aditya Puri is the longest serving officer in the private bank who took over as CEO from September 1994 to 2020.

  • Shasidhar is a CA (Chartered Accountant).

  • He also holds a Master's degree in Economics of Banking and Finance.


Dipankar Ghosh received Prem Bhatia Award for Outstanding Journalism

  • The People's Archive of India (PARI) along with journalist Dipankar Ghosh has won the prestigious Prem Bhatia Award 2020 for journalism.

  • The award was given to Ghosh for the wide-ranging reporting between the impact of climate change and the epidemic on rural India.

  • Ghosh had informed the state government about the school children of Mushari Tola in Badbil village who were forced to beg due to lack of food.

  • The Bihar government had issued instructions to provide ration to school children.

  • The Prem Bhatia Awards were instituted in the memory of eminent journalist Prem Bhatia in 1995 with the aim of reporting, bold search for truth and improving the standards of journalism in India.
