Pradeep Singh of Sonipat district of Haryana topped the results of the Civil Services Examination for the year 2019 announced by the Union Public Service Commission on 4 August.

The People's Archive of India (PARI) along with journalist Dipankar Ghosh has won the prestigious Prem Bhatia Award 2020 for journalism.
The award was given to Ghosh for the wide-ranging reporting between the impact of climate change and the epidemic on rural India.
Ghosh had informed the state government about the school children of Mushari Tola in Badbil village who were forced to beg due to lack of food.
The Bihar government had issued instructions to provide ration to school children.
