Former Governor of the state of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chandra Murmu was appointed the 14th new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India.
Girish Chandra Murmu currently replaces Rajiv Mehrishi, the 13 chairman of Comptroller and Auditor General, who is a 1978 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre.
