Bank of Baroda launches Insta Clips Saving Account initiative

  • Bank of Baroda, India's third largest public sector bank, launched a fully digital online savings account initiative Insta Click Saving Account.

  • Bank of Baroda has started this initiative to open a bank's savings account with OTP via mobile. In this service mobile banking is included in digital series like internet banking UPI and debit cards.

  • Under which the customer can start the transaction process with the MPIN found on the mobile number using the bank's Baroda M Connect Plus application.

Partnering with NSDC to educate rural youth in Airtel Payment Bank

  • Airtel Payments Bank Limited has tied up with the National Skill Development Corporation to help train youth in rural areas and seek employment opportunities.

  • The main objective of this partnership is to encourage rural youth in adopting means to promote online banking and digital financial services.

Tracking device "Smart Wristband" launched at Nagpur AIIMS

  • The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur has developed a "Smart Wristband" device to monitor Covid-19 infected and suspected patients.

  • The data obtained with the help of this device will be collected and stored on the cloud operated by health workers, as well as this Wristwatch will monitor their daily routine using tracking location or cell tower triangulation method with mobile apps.

  • This device is designed and developed by IIT Jodhpur and IIT Nagpur.

Alok Mishra becomes the new CEO and director of MFIN

  • Alok Mishra was appointed to the post of Chief Executive Officer and Director of Microfinance Institution Network (MFIL).

  • Alok Mishra will replace HF Srivastava, the current CEO of MFIL from 1 August 2020.

India developed its first orbid space debris monitoring and tracking system

  • India's first Orbit space debris monitoring and tracking system - developed by Dingtara Startup.

  • The system works on LIDAR technology i.e. Light Detection and Range technology.

  • It will be installed in the Earth's Low-Earth Orbit with the help of nano equipment, which will provide complete information to the Indian Space Agency at altitudes up to 1000 kilometers.

  • The main purpose of developing this system is designed to help track and map space debris.

Chhattisgarh government inaugurated Godhan Nyaya Yojana

  • Chhattisgarh State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel introduced the "Godhan Nyaya Yojana" to encourage cattle rearing.

Largest solar power plant of Indian Navy commissioned in Ezhimala

  • Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla of the Southern Command of the Indian Navy launched the largest solar power plant of the Indian Navy at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala.

  • Ezhimala Solar Power Plant is a 3 MW capacity Gwala Solar Power Plant which will provide 100 GW of solar power by the year 2022.

  • The approximate age of this solar power plant has been set at 25 years.

  • 9180 efficient monocrystalline solar panels have been incorporated to develop this solar plant.
