"Project Platina"

  • Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray launched the world's largest plasma therapy testing "Project Platina" program for Covid-19 patients.

  • CM has approved Rs 16.65 crore from the Chief Minister Relief Fund for "Project Platina".

  • The state government has selected a total of 21 centers for this program, including Medical Education and Drugs Department and BMC Medical College.


"Hamara Ghar Hamara Vidyalaya" Campaign

  • The Chief Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh has launched "Hamara Ghar Hamara Vidyalaya Abhiyan" with the objective of providing education to school children during the time of Corona crisis.

  • Under this campaign, from July 6, school bells will ring in all the houses of the state in which children will read, write and listen to stories and then prepare their notes.


Terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange

  • The terrorists were attacked by 4 terrorists of Balochistan Liberation Army in Pakistan Stock Exchange building located in Karachi, Pakistan.

  • According to Pakistan's news agency The Dawn, three Pakistani policemen were injured in the attack with the death of 4 Pakistani security guards, a police sub-inspector and a civilian.


World's first online BSC degree awarding institution - 'Indian Institute of Technology Madras'

  • The Indian Institute of Technology Madras launched the initiative to confer the world's first online BSC degree in Programming and Data Science through a virtual event by Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

  • This course will be available mainly in three different stages. In its first phase, "Certificate" will be obtained, in the second phase there will be "Diploma Program" and in the third phase there will be "Degree Program".

  • To join these courses, the students will have to pay a fee for a qualifier examination of ₹ 3000.

  • In which they have to take the exam in 4 subjects Mathematics, Statistics, English and Computational Thinking.


Popstar Beyoncé honored- 'BET 2020 Humanitarian Award'

  • Popstar Beyoncé was announced by former US First Lady "Michelle Obama" in her Covid-19 relief efforts in collaboration with the BeyogOOD Foundation, such as #ididmypart, the "BET 2020 Humanitarian Award" of 2020 for the Mobile Testing Initiative.

  • The BET Award was first introduced in 2001 through the Black Entertainment Television Network.

  • "BET Awards" is an American award show for the past one year for African Americans and other minorities in different fields of entertainment.


Former German footballer Mario Gomez announces retirement


  • Former Germany team footballer and striker Mario Gomez announced his retirement from football.

  • Mario has played 78 matches throughout his life, of which he scored 36 goals.


World Bank approves US $ 500 million for STARS program in India

  • The World Bank has approved an amount of US $ 500 million for the Teaching-Learning and Results Program (STARS) of the states.

  • The STARS program will be run in six Indian states namely Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Rajasthan to improve the quality and governance of school education.

  • The STARS program will strengthen the partnership between India and the World Bank and strengthen public school education and will also support India's goal of providing "education for all".


Kiren Rijiju launches "NADA App" for athletes


  • Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has launched the first mobile app "NADA App" of the National Anti-Doping Agency.

  • The recently launched mobile application aims to reduce this gap between NADA and athletes by providing easily-accessible information about various aspects of sports, banned substances as well as dope-testing.


India signs agreement with Bhutan for 600 MW Kholongchhu Hydro Energy Limited (KHEL)

  • India signed an agreement with Bhutan under the chairmanship of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for the 600 MW Kholongchhu Hydro Energy Limited (KHEL).

  • India partnered with the Khologanchu Hydro Energy Limited project in the presence of Bhutan Foreign Minister Tadi Dorji.

  • This 600 MW run-of-the-river project is located on the Kholongchu River waterway in Tshyangtse district in eastern Bhutan.

  • In this project, four 150 MW turbine underground power stations will be constructed with water surrounded by a concrete dam of height of 95 meters.

  • Which will be completed by the last half of the year 2025.
