Madhya Pradesh is situated at the center of India called "Hridaya Pradesh ", "Heart Region ". The name of state " Madhya Pradesh " is given by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. During the British Rule in India, Madhya Pradesh was known as "Central Province " and Barar. After Independence Madhya Pradesh was divided into threestates A, B and C. Chhattisgarh and Baghelkhand were included into Central Province and Barar and hence STATE-A or PART-A was formed. STATE-B or PART-B was made by including estates of West called Mid-India. STATE-C or PART-C was made by including estates of North. Bhopal was the part of Part- C. Also there was Mahakaushal Region with capital Jabalpur. Madhya Pradesh was founded on 1st Nov 1956. By the recommendation of RAJYA PUNARGATHAN AAYOG, presided by Fazal Ali.
